The G.M.A. (Glissière Mobile d’Affectation) is a SODIREL device especially designed to separate 2 lanes. It is an automatic barrier system made of a modular steel structure which can be moved sideways by rotating around an anchored point. The rotation is possible thanks to a system driven by lifting and carrying motors, a pneumatic assistance and sensors.
This device can be used :
- at toll plaza for opening or closing a lane depending on the traffic flow
- at the entrance or at the exit of a highway (workzone or in case of accident)
- at the junction of two highways in case of heavy traffic, to guide the vehicles towards another direction
- to close a highway in case of accident
The steel structure was tested BT4 level according to the XP P98-453 standard, level H1 of the European standard NF EN 1317-2.
The rotating operation can be either activated locally from the control cabinet, or from a remote control via a PC (through wire or radio connection).
